Process control system

The Siemens Industry Automation Simatic PCS 7 V8.0 process control system features a process historian that provides an integrated, scalable, long-term archiving system, consolidating history from multiple continuous and batch projects. A process device manager operates, sets, maintains and diagnoses PA, FF and HART field devices. Package units for the system and remote operator panels can be integrated using the industry library based on the APL style guide. The PCS 7 telecontrol permits the setup of hierarchical system configurations; the route control allows graphic offline path-searching. The power control facilitates the integration of electrical switch gear in accordance with the IEC 61850 protocol.
