FDA extends comment period for proposed FSMA rules

The comment period for proposed Foreign Supplier Verification Program and Accreditation of Third-Party Auditors rules were extended by two months.

FDA extends comment period on FSMA rules

FDA announced it will extend the comment period on proposed rules for Foreign Supplier Verification Program and Accrediation of Third-Party Auditors/Certification Bodies from Nov. 26, 2013 to January 27, 2014.

The extension is intended to allow stakeholders an opportunity to consider the interrelationship between these two proposed rules and the proposed rule announced in Oct. 2013 regulating animal and livestock foods.
