Rotary batch mixer

The Munson Model 700-TH-40-SS sanitary rotary batch mixer blends batches of ingredients in parts as small as one per million in less than 3 minutes, regardless of disparities in bulk densities, particle sizes or flow characteristics. It includes a retractable inlet for washdowns, a stationary discharge and a rotating drum with mixing flights that tumble, turn and fold the material. The mixer has a 40-cu.-ft. usable batch capacity, 80-cu.-ft. total capacity and a 4,000-lb. weight capacity. Intended for USDA applications and other applications involving contamination-sensitive materials and/or frequent product changeovers, the unit features all-stainless contact surfaces; continuous, polished welds with 1/4-in. radii; external removable seals; and a CIP vessel cleaning nozzle.
