Sugar beet farmers voice concerns to Congress

Groups of sugar beet producers arrived on Capitol Hill in late February and early March to voice their concerns to Congress. The American Sugar Alliance (ASA), which helped set up the meetings, says the farmers want lawmakers to understand their perspective on foreign sugar subsidies, the no-cost US sugar policy and current market conditions.
