Hygienic servomotor

The Kollmorgen AKMH hygienic servomotor includes a hybrid power/feedback cable that incorporates a tube, which allows the motor’s internal pressure to equalize with the electrical cabinet of the connected drive. A vented connector assembly is applied to the end of the cable, allowing the motor to vent at the connection point while maintaining the unit’s IP69K rating; the connector enables the use of either a washdown mating cable or a non-washdown cable, if the connection point is placed outside the washdown area.
