Expected to be operational by March, Wegmans' new warehouse and distribution center in Schuylkill County, PA will occupy 320,000 square feet on a 118-acre site. The $100 million project includes a 250,000-sq. ft. dry grocery facility and a 70,000-sq. ft. refrigerated facility.
Performance Food Group will build a 201,000-sq. ft. refrigerated and dry storage distribution center in Kendallville, IN. The center, which is expected to be open in the Fall, will hire 150 employees.
A 56,000-sq. ft. facility, Owens Country Sausage's production plant in Sulphur, TX, produces convenience food items for 30 states and will serve as a sandwich assembly facility for Owens and its parent company, Bob Evans Farms. The plant cost $4 million and is expected to ship approximately 18 million pounds of product annually.
