For applications that require coding at high speeds on a variety of materials, the Excel 170i inkjet printer can print up to three lines of alphanumerics, bar codes and custom graphics on virtually any substrate at uniform, variable or intermittent production speeds, says Videojet, the manufacturer. Using a single printhead, the unit offers single-, twin-, triple-line or large-size printing. It can serialize, automatically advance expiration dates and print numbers and messages on porous, non-porous, smooth, curved, textured or ribbed surfaces.
