Winpak Lane Inc. has enhanced its Model W-18 vertical-form-fill-seal equipment. The unit has a two-axis servo which allows product filling and film index profile changes with the push of a button. The equipment produces four-sided sealed pouches for condiments and sauces at speeds of up to 1,200 packages per minute. New control features on the W-18 include a flat-panel PC, individual seal bar temperature monitoring and a servo controller with imbedded machine control.
