The poll, conducted by the Oxygen/Markle Pulse Group, found that 71 percent of men said they would eat genetically modified foods, and 59 percent they would feed it to their children. By comparision, only 50 percent of American women would eat genetically modified foods and 37 percent would feed it to their children.
Further, some 47 percent of women surveyed would be willing to pay more for fruits and vegetables have not been genetically altered, compared with 35 percent of men. Bottom line: Americans generally support GMOs, but only 18 percent say they feel "very informed" about the benefits and risks of such foods.
