Oxy Glide, a highly concentrated conveyor chain lubricant is safe on PET plastic bottles, says the manufacturer, Chemetall Oakite. A blend of non-ionic surfactants, lubricant additives and hydrogen peroxide, the lubricant contains zero alkalinity, making it suitable for bottling lines filling and capping PET bottles on plastic chains. The hydrogen peroxide formulated into the product should lower the biological demand of effluent and retard bacteria growth in drip pans and drains, says the company.
