Construction of a multi-phase 210,000-sq.-ft. processing facility in Portland, ME, was recently completed byBarber Foods. The project involved converting a warehouse to a distribution freezer and corporate facility.
Hilmar Cheeseplans to build a $30 million cheese and whey processing plant in Dalhart, TX. The facility will be built in two phases, the first of which is expected to be completed in the fall of 2007. Initially, the plant will employ 120 people.
Kellogg Co.is expanding its plant in Columbus, GA, with a $5 million project adding production of Keebler Grahams.
