Markem offers a washdown enclosure for the SmartDate family of thermal transfer coders. Operators will not need to bag or remove the coder from the line prior to washdown procedures, shortening prep and recovery time. The washdown unit consists of a stainless steel enclosure that surrounds the printhead and features a removable cover that is installed before washdown, making the unit water tight.
