MRC Marathon HDi Series mounted bearing units can be used in applications in the red meat, pork and poultry processing industries, as well as beverage industries that require high-housing strength and corrosion resistance. The heavy-duty, cast iron housing gains corrosion resistance from the company's ZmaRC coating, which eliminates flaking and chipping problems routinely associated with nickel-plated and painted mounted units. Housings are matched with ZmaRC-plated quality insert bearings that are suitable for harsh operating environments and factory lubed-for-life with USDA-approved H1 grease. The two-part seal consists of a patented double-lip AISI 304 stainless seal and flinger, allowing the unit to operate in heavy washdown environments without regreasing.
