PET bottles offer improved strength, denser pack format
Amcor PET Packaging introduced a family of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containers called the QuadPlus and QuadMax3 that are said to offer improved strength for hot-fill beverage applications. Amcor claims the QuadPlus bottles are a more rigid, stronger alternative for 46-, 48- and 64-oz. hot-filled rectangular PET bottles. The QuadMax3 design is for beverage applications currently in round PET containers or already in a rectangular footprint but interested in converting 64-, 46-, or 48-oz. rectangular footprints with space-saving geometry. The QuadMax3's denser pack helps improve shipping economics. Both sizes have a 43 mm finish.
