Packagers working with hot-fill cans, PET and wide-mouth containers may find that traditional LN2 injection units cause too much splash, leading to variation in the amount of pressure in each finished product. Cryotech says its SoftDose option of liquid nitrogen dosing technology controls how the dose of LN2 is introduced into the container and eliminates product splash. This is effective with hot-fill products as well as with granular products where traditional dosing causes excess product to spill out of the container.
