Model CJ-2A reversible homogenizer from ARDE Barinco prepares fine grain emulsions and solid particle dispersions in batches from 200 to 1,000 ml. Results obtained with the unit can be scaled up to batches as large as 10,000 liters using a proprietary computer program designed for use with this high-shear mixer. The equipment has a 0.25 hp, 15,000 rpm reversible mixer. The homogenizer has a down-mode that is capable of drawing and wetting out float powders or re-suspending any settled solids on the bottom of the mixing vessel.
