Ross’s new double planetary mixer has a mix can that is raised to a fixed-drive assembly, allowing the addition of fixed and rigid connections for liquid and dry powder as well as other service connections in--to the hood; connections do not need to be removed between batches. The unit in--cludes a CIP system, stainless steel internal surfaces, flush-type discharge valve, jacket to heat or cool the batch and sanitary finish on all stainless surfaces. Additional options include charging and sight ports, variable speed drives, computerized packages, etc. Sizes are available up to 750-gal. capacity.
