Providing high optical performance in a compact metal housing, ifm’s OG-Cube photoelectric sensor offers reliable position detection in industrial applications such as conveying, packaging and material handling. The sensor features metal M18 mounting threads that do not strip during mounting; its standard M12 connector resists high torquing. A powerful, visible red light source with a large spot diameter enables alignment for easy set up. Background suppression models incorporate a sensing element with 63 diode receivers placed on an integrated circuit to provide more information about the target and background. The polarized retro-reflective model features an extended sensing range up to 4 meters when paired with a 50mm reflector. Two bracket systems are available that enable both models to rotate in multiple directions to fit various applications.
