Unilever Pic/NV will appoint Paul Polman as its new chief executive in an upcoming board meeting. He takes over as Patrick Cescau, group chief executive, retires at the end of the year. Polman was executive vice president and zone director for the Americas at Nestlé SA. The board of directors of Nestlé SA has appointed Luis Cantarell to Polman’s vacant position.


Anheuser-Busch has established a subsidiary called 9th Street Beverages, LLC, to expand the company’s non-alcohol business, which includes brands such as 180 Energy, BORBA Skin Balance Water, Icelandic Glacial and Monster.


Bosch’s Packaging Technology Division will acquire Paal Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Remshalden near Stuttgart. Paal is a packaging and automation specialist engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of lines for secondary and multiple unit packaging.


Richelieu Foods, Inc. has acquired the sauces and dressings business from Sara Lee Foodservice.


Whole Bakers, a gluten-free specialty baked goods company, is partnering with PacMoore to deliver gluten-free baked goods. PacMoore is a privately held food packaging company located in Hammond, IN.


The Natural Pasta Company appointed Rick McKelvey as its president. The 25-year-old company recently received a $2.35 million investment from Sea Change Investment Fund, LLC, a venture capital fund focused on environmentally preferable seafood.

UV disinfection specialist Aquionics appointed Bill Decker as its new president. Decker has extensive experience in wastewater treatment, having spent 14 years with Ashbrook-Hartley Operations L.P.


Adept Technology named its current president, John Dulchinos, to be chief executive officer. Robert Bucher, the company’s current CEO has been appointed to chairman of the board of directors.
