Stellar completed construction of United States Cold Storage’s phase-three expansion to its Tulare-North distribution center located in Tulare, CA. The 260,000-sq.-ft. expansion includes 120,000 sq.ft. of dry storage and 140,000 sq.ft. of refrigerated storage.
North Dakota Natural Beef opened a new processing facility that is expected to be completely operational this month. The location is dedicated to further processing and will not include slaughter capabilities. The 42,000-sq.-ft. facility will process 50,000 carcasses per year and is expected to employ about 120 people.
Burris Logistics’ 260,000-sq.-ft. refrigerated and frozen food distribution facility in Rocky Hill, CT was completed by Stellar. This building will serve BJ’s Wholesale Club and the Northeast public refrigerated warehouse market.
Golden States Foods broke ground in the city of Garner, NC on a 133,000-sq.-ft. distribution facility to help support business with McDonalds in Southeastern US. With a state-of-the-art design and rail access, the new distribution center will serve approximately 500 restaurants in the region.
Cargill has inaugurated a $89 million rapeseed crush plant in the port of Montoir in western France. It will process up to 600,000 metric tons of rapeseed a year, increasing Cargill’s oilseed crush capacity in France by 50%.
