Featuring a 2m-wide scan area, Key Technology’s Manta high-volume, high-performance sorter handles up to 27 metric tons of processed vegetables or fruit per hour. The sorter recognizes each object’s size and shape, as well as millions of subtle color differences, to remove defects based on user-defined accept/reject standards. Adding a FluoRaptor fluorescence-sensing laser expands the sorter’s inspection capabilities by detecting foreign material and extraneous vegetable matter based on differing levels of chlorophyll. The sorter has no overlapping surfaces that can trap bacteria. Designed for harsh environments, it has stainless steel construction, water-tight gaskets on doors, a sealed control panel and easy access to areas needing cleaning.
