New England Machinery’s Model SO-4 center neck container linear orienter accepts, conveys and orients rectangular, square and round bottles with centered necks and/or handles. Using a variety of inspection methods, it distinguishes the bottles’ incoming orientation based on container symmetry and orients them 90°, 180° or 270° to suit downstream packaging operations. Providing a smooth, continuous motion, the self-contained, freestanding unit slides up to an existing conveyor for easy installation, has non-marring transfer belts and is capable of up to 150 containers/min. depending on bottle size.
