Equipped with a temperature sensor and optional pressure sensor, Siemens’ Sitrans FX300 vortex flow meter measures the temperature, pressure and flow of steam, gases and liquids via the vortex principle. The 2-wire flow meter with HART communication can be used for applications requiring reliable flow measurement independent of dynamic pressure, temperature, viscosity and density variations. The meter has an operating range from -40°F to +464°F. When used with steam and gas with flow rates of 2 to 80 meters/sec., the meter’s accuracy is 1.0%; with liquids flowing at rates between 0.4 and 10 meters/sec., accuracy is 0.75%. The nominal internal diameter range is DN15 to DN300 (0.5 to 12 in.).
