Blackmer NP Series sliding vane pumps 2.5- and 3-in. models now come with optional electric heating; the option may be used to provide pump heating for applications that normally require jackets, such as handling molasses or lube oils. Two bosses on the gland area of the inboard head allow drilling for 2 heat pots; a thicker bearing cover allows for a third heating pot to be located on the outboard side of the pumps. Special sleeve bearings, a stainless steel relief-valve spring, high-temperature paint and high-temperature shaft packing are included.
