With a full 15 3/4 in. of usable-product width, the Formax F-400 mid-sized forming machine has a high-speed mold-plate drive with a 7.5hp motor for variable speeds from 15 to 70 strokes/min.; mold plates from 1/8- to 1-in. thickness can be used. The sealed stainless steel cabinets are equipped with a blower that reduces humidity and controls temperature. A lift system raises the mold cover, allowing the mold plate and knockout cup assemblies to be easily changed. An optional PLC-controlled, paper-feed system papers fresh product and stacks it uniformly in tight formation on the conveyor.
