Designed for fixed weight food packaging applications, the APS semi-automatic scale and bagger presents a horizontal row of pre-opened bags ready for automatic loading. An operator manually places products onto the scale, and the system automatically calculates the best combination of products nearest to the target weight. The system then discharges the right amount of products onto a central conveyor, which loads the items directly into the pre-opened SidePouch bags. Once the each bag is filled, it is indexed, sealed and delivered to a tote or takeaway conveyor. Used for packaging fresh food and fragile products such as grapes, shrimp, fruit, vegetables, beef jerky and other products sold by a fixed weight, the integrated system packages up to 30 bags/min.
