Amy’s Kitchenwill build a second manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, CA. The project will cost between $40 and $50 million.

 

WhiteWave Foods will expand its dairy in Mount Crawford, VA. The $69.8 million project will allow production increases of several brands including Silk and New Horizon.

 

Trinity Frozen Foods, LLC plans to develop a 150,000 sq.-ft. processing facility in Robeson County, NC. The plant, scheduled to open in July, will employ 60 people. Trinity Foods markets sweet potato fries in foodservice and retail markets.

 

Hola Nola Foods broke ground on an 11,400-sq.-ft. tortilla plant in Ascension, LA. The facility includes separate manufacturing lines for corn and flour tortillas.

 

Steven Roberts Original Desserts purchased a 386,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Aurora, CO, where it will consolidate its bakeries, warehouse and corporate headquarters.

 

Allen Harim is in negotiations to acquire the former Pinnacle Foods (Vlasic) property in Millsboro, DE for a poultry processing and cooking operation. With an investment of approximately $100 million, the facility is expected to be operational by late 2014.
