Post fined $630k for air quality violations
The cereal maker must also purchase $1.4 million in new equipment to become federally compliant.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Friday that Post Holdings, Inc. and Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. will pay a $635,000 penalty for violating air quality regulations in a Central California cereal plant. The companies have already spent $1.4 million on equipment required to reduce emissions. Regulators determined some equipment at the plant was emitting volatile organic compounds without the required permits.
