UK Food Standards Agency invites applications for food allergy research project
The project will investigate the preferences of people with food allergies when eating outside of the home.

UK's Food Standards Agency announced a call for applications for a new research project to investigate the preferences of people with food allergies or intolerances when eating outside the home. The project will support the December 2014 implementation of the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (EU FIC), which will require information to be provided on the presence of 14 allergens when used as deliberate ingredients in non pre-packed food. Food business operators have had a three year transition period, from December 2011 to December 2014, to take the necessary actions to comply with regulations.
