Eliminating the use of mercury to measure temperature, Ashcroft bimetal thermometers come with 2- to 5-in. dial diameters and in ranges from -80°F to 1,000°F and Celsius equivalents. Standard stem lengths are 2 1/2 through 24 in.; special order stems up to 60 in. are available. The thermometers are hermetically sealed for washdowns or liquid filled to counter high vibration.
