The Automation Federation announced a cybersecurity seminar set for April 18, 2014 at the Northern Illinois University campus in Naperville, IL. The seminar, co-sponsored by the Automation Federation, International Society of Automation (ISA) and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) will feature experts from the White House, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Automation Federation, ISA and IMEC.
The “Protecting Our Nation’s Critical Infrastructure: How are you mitigating the risk of a cyberattack?” free seminar is part of a series of free nationwide meetings aimed at educating US and international manufacturing professionals about the components and key provisions of the recently enacted US Cybersecurity Framework.
The framework, officially launched in Washington, DC in February, is a voluntary how-to guide for manufacturers and critical infrastructure operators to strengthen their cybersecurity defenses and effectively mitigate risk.
