The Clark Model DNEM energy flow monitor measures energy transfer in heating/cooling systems, heat recovery applications, efficiency measurement/verification systems and other applications. The monitor is designed for systems with flow ranges from 0.25 to 22.50 gpm; 1/4-, 3/8-, 1/2-, 3/4- or 1-in. piping and temperatures up to 212°F. It calculates energy use based on the mass volume of liquid passing through the system and the difference in temperature between the supply and return lines. The volume of liquid is measured by a pulse-generating vortex flow transmitter. A built-in RTD sensor measures temperature at the meter; the remote temperature is measured by means of an RTD sensor mounted in a pipe tee. A scaled pulse output is provided and can be configured to report volume flow rate, mass flow rate or unit of energy. Modbus 485 communications provide an interface with building automation, process control or other monitoring systems.
