Sercos International e.V., supplier of the Sercos automation bus, elected six members to its board of directors at its Hannover Fair 2014 members‘ meeting.
Thomas Bürger of Bosch Rexroth AG was named chairman, replacing Bernd-Josef Schafer.
Bürger will be supported by Klaus Weyer of Schneider Electric Automation GmbH and Prof. Alexander Verl of Fraunhofer Institute.
Matheus Bulho, of Rockwell Automation, was elected to the board, replacing the departing Ralf Prechtel.
Christoph Melzer and Hans-Juergen Hilscher were both confirmed as cash auditors.
During the meeting, members were informed of Sercos developments based on current market trends and also shown a strategic view of current users.
“Strong growth in the spectrum of manufacturers and providers accelerates the implementation of innovative automation concepts and is, at the same time, proof of the high level of acceptance of Sercos in machine and systems engineering,” says Peter Lutz, managing director of Sercos. “We also see this growth in Asia, specifically in China.”
