Built for power levels up to 200W, the Linear Technology LT8310 primary-side synchronous forward controller operates over an input voltage range of 6 to 100V; it provides a drive signal for secondary-side synchronous rectification. Output voltage regulation of +/-8% can be attained without an opto-coupler or +/-1.5% when an opto-coupler is used. The controller features programmable over-current protection, adjustable input under-voltage, over-voltage lockout and built-in thermal shutdown.
