The Festo VSNC series NAMUR valve comes with multiple coil options, including Class I Division 1(FM) or intrinsic safety. It attaches to the side of a single- or double-acting actuator in a process application; by applying a voltage to the solenoid coil, compressed air either opens or closes the valve. Providing 3/2 and 5/2 functionality, the valve has a switchable seal that converts the configuration. The valve is available with a brass or stainless steel tube. All models come with either 1/4-in. G or NPT threads and a rebreather function that routes treated air from port 3 to the spring chamber.
