It might not go great with milk, but the iconic cereal brand Wheaties has teamed up with Minneapolis, MN-based craft brewery Fulton to create a limited edition beer, according to General Mills, manufacturer of Wheaties which made the announcement in its blog this week.
The new limited-edition beer will be named HefeWheaties, a reference to the south German style of beer called hefeweizen that is typically made using 50 percent or more malted wheat.
General Mills says Wheaties won’t actually be in the beer and the cereal’s connection beyond the wheat commonality is unclear. The beer will be available for a limited time sold in 4-pack 16oz. cans only in Minnesota.
