The International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) has extended the deadline for application submissions for the Young Leaders “30 under 30” program—targeting young professionals who normally would not have the financial resources or opportunity to attend IPPE.

According to event organizers, the goal of the program is to engage and invest in young professionals between the ages of 21 and 29 who work for companies involved in the production and processing of poultry and meat, or in the production of animal/poultry feed.

To be considered for IPPE’s “30 under 30” program, applicants must submit their application by Nov. 16. No more than two applicants from a single member organization may be nominated. A panel of industry professionals will review the applications. Recipients will be notified of the panel’s decision by Nov. 30. The application and details about the program can be found at www.ippexpo.org.

Sponsored by the US Poultry & Egg Association, the American Feed Industry Association and the North American Meat Institute, the annual show is scheduled for Jan. 26-28, 2016 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The expo is comprised of three co-located trade shows—International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo and International Meat Expo—that represent the entire chain of protein and feed production and processing.

The expo will highlight the latest technology, equipment and services used in the production and processing of meat, poultry and animal feed in addition to dynamic educational programs that address current industry issues. The 2016 IPPE will also feature several new educational programs including important sessions on food safety, consumer trends and international trade.
