The Huisken Meat Company of Sauk Rapids, MN, has issued a recall for approximately 89,568 pounds of hamburger patties because the products may contain “extraneous wood materials,” according to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
FSIS says the foreign material originated with an incoming ingredient and was discovered during production.
The Sam’s Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion items were produced between Nov. 19, 2015 and Dec. 9, 2015. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 394A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
