Moticont hollow-core, voice-coil linear motors have 0.125- to 2-in apertures; the hollow core allows optics, illumination, laser beams or cables to pass through the motor. The units have stroke lengths from 0.125 in. to 2.50 in., continuous force ratings from 5 oz. to 16.3 lb. and peak forces from 15.7 oz. to 51.5 lb. at a 10% duty cycle. Typical applications include positioning, scanning and assembly. The motors are available as complete plug-and-play systems, including a position sensor, controller, amplifier and power supply.
