Hostess issues recall over peanut residue

Hostess Brands, LLC is recalling more than 700,000 cases of snack cakes and doughnuts over concerns the products may contain undeclared peanut residue.
The recall, issued Friday, covers a number of Ding Dongs, Zingers, Chocodiles and various doughnuts sold to mass merchandisers, grocery stores, distributors, dollar stores, drug stores, and convenience stores throughout the US and Mexico.
The Missouri-based company says the decision to issue the recall is a result of the recall issued by its flour supplier, Grain Craft.
Hostess says it received notice of two allergic reactions related to products covered by the recall.
