Used with vertical form/fill/seal machines, the Spee-Dee vacuum-tooling option for augers has a dual funnel system that stops the flow of product between fills. The filler’s auger fits inside a central funnel with a multi-layer screen at the bottom. When the vacuum pressure is engaged, air is drawn through the filter to densify the powder, hold it and stop its flow.
