With the Gericke Cone Nibbler size reduction unit, material is subjected to a combination of compression, impact and shear forces as the rotor arm moves over the stationary cone wall; low temperatures are generated during milling, making the equipment suitable for heat-sensitive, moist materials. Models are available to handle a variety of applications, including size reduction, dispersion, dry and wet granulation or de-agglomeration for throughputs up to 7,000 lb./hr. They can be customized with different hole patterns, shapes and screen sizes ranging from 12 mm to 150 microns.
