The Global Cooling fresh-cut precooler has 40hp fan power and delivers 50,000 cu. ft./min.; fresh-cut produce packages receive a minimum of 4 or 5 cu. ft./min. per lb. Placed in a nearby cold storage room, the precooler provides a forced-air precooling tunnel for fresh processing centers, where fresh-cut bags or clamshells are palletized for shipment to distribution centers.
