ROSS high-speed dispersers feature 2-hand safety controls for raising and lowering the mixing head; the 2-hand system requires 2 pushbuttons to be pressed and maintained to allow operation of the hydraulic lift. Used primarily for incorporating powders into liquid, the dispersers run at tip speeds up to approximately 5,000 ft./min. The open disc blade generates a vigorous flow and vortex into which the dry ingredients are added. The dispersers handle product viscosities up to 50,000 centipoise.
