The Flexible Packaging Association announced its 2019 Board of Directors comprised of leaders from 35 companies.
Curt Begle, president of the health, hygiene and specialties division of Berry Global, is the new chairperson, succeeding David Staker, president and CEO, Plastic Packaging Technologies.
The association advances the flexible packaging industry, which the organization says represents more than $31 billion in annual U.S. sales and is one of the fastest growing packaging segments.
FPA voting members elected the board during the association’s 2019 Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. Board members serve one-year terms, with the exception of the chairperson who is elected for two years.
Newly appointed directors include Jarred Carter of Siegwerk USA Co. and Mark Forman of Belmark inc. Guenther Hering, vice president, Flexible Packaging NA, Henkel Corporation, serves as treasurer.
