About 1,400 workers have been on strike since October, and will return to work on December 27.

Kellogg's announced that employees have ratified the tentative agreement for a master contract at four U.S. cereal plants in Battle Creek, Michigan; Omaha, Nebraska; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee. The contract covers approximately 1,400 BCTGM union-represented employees (Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers)
who will return to work on December 27.
Former Simply Essentials plant was shut down in 2019, expected to be operational again in 2022.

New poultry producer Pure Prairie Farms has completed the purchase of a former Simply Essentials chicken processing plant in Charles City, Iowa. The plant, which previously closed in August of 2019, is a state-of-the-art retail tray-packaging facility and features air-chill technology. The plant is scheduled to be fully operational by spring of 2022.
Pulmuone, one of the largest tofu companies in the world, announced a 100,000-square-foot expansion at its Fullerton, California, facility that doubles tofu production capabilities and creates 110 new jobs.
Recalled salad items were distributed through retailers in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the U.S.

Fresh Express is recalling certain varieties of its branded and private label salad products produced at the company’s Streamwood, Ill., facility because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Flowers Foods is voluntarily recalling 3,000 loaves of Nature’s Own Honey Wheat bread sold in six states due to the presence of undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Brands to be sold include R.W. Knudsen, TruRoots, and Santa Cruz Organic beverages.
