Lancaster Colony Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, T. Marzetti Company, manufacture and sell specialty food products for the retail and foodservice channels.
Lantmännen will invest more than €100 million ($105.38 million) in a factory in Sweden, while partnering with Ingredion to develop a differentiated portfolio of plant-based protein isolates based on yellow peas.
This facility is expected to begin production in 2026, and at peak capacity, will produce 2.7 million beverage bottles per day across six production lines.
Once operational, the 284,000-sq.-ft. plant will produce cocoa-free chocolate, nut-free spreads and bean-free coffee, and it will have the capacity to make 10,000 metric tons of cocoa-free chocolate annually.
Shamrock Farms is investing $59 million into the project, which includes adding additional equipment, cold storage space and a new production filling line.
