Jordan Talmadge, PPG’s global commercial director, silicas, recently spoke about the role silicas can play in preventing caking and optimizing the flow characteristics of food products, as well as improving product performance and manufacturing productivity.

Recent research compared the carrying capacity of PPG’s precipitated silica to maltodextrin. Results showed that PPG Flo-Gard silicas provided more than 40 times the carrying capacity of maltodextrin.
