Processors gathered in Miami for the 20th annual Food Automation & Manufacturing Conference and Expo, where they learned about the challenges and opportunities facing food processors. Sessions included automation and engineering keynotes, a panel discussion of the challenges facing women in manufacturing, food safety, leadership and sustainability.

Food processing and packaging tradeshow CibusTec was held on October 25- 28, in Parma, Italy. The show was housed in three separate pavilions offering its 35,000-plus visitors a platform to view over 1,200 exhibitors. The majority of the exhibitors were Italian equipment manufacturers, specializing in machinery for everything from fruit and vegetable processing to meat and seafood.
