The Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap line of detectable cable ties includes mounting bases made from materials identifiable by X-ray equipment, metal detectors and visual detection equipment; the bases are available in 2- and 4-way, adhesive-mount and screw-mount models. The cable ties and accessories are made of either nylon 6.6 (polyamide) or polypropylene, which gives the products buoyancy for visual detection in liquid processing applications.
